The SDS Paxton solution is an exciting suite of web tools which create and showcase virtual exhibitions and significant anniversary interactive websites. Bespoke Designed (no square pegs through rounds holes!)
Online Digital Exhibition feature with QR code technology...
SDS Paxton will enable you to select a number of items and create a virtual exhibition. Users will be able to zoom in and around selected archives and read further information. QR technology is also included, which enables you tie up with any physical exhibition or display you create. By simply scanning the QR code users placed next to the real exhibit, they will be taken directly to the item online to read more about it, and get a closer examination by way of a zoom feature.
The index contains an interactive gallery where you can swipe left or right to explore the items in a collection. Or simply flip through all the collections within the exhibition and show them all at-a-glance.
Each collection has its own story, with links to exhibits both within, and in other collections making it easy to make cross-references. User can also browse the collection as thumbnails here.
Hide the story bar to see the exhibit in full-screen. You can zoom in and see detail and pan the image around the screen. Exhibits can be captioned and even contain hotspots for pop-up information on various details.
Working with SDS Heritage was a really positive experience. Alison understood the requests of each of the artists working towards this exhibition and incorporated their work and personal biographies into a digital gallery with individual QR codes. The SDS Paxton solution incorporated all artists' feedback that enhanced the quality of the images online for smart phone experiences of the exhibition. Alison's enthusiastic and sensitive approach to the needs of the Art Department at St. Edward's made it easy and time efficient for us to incorporate the SDS Paxton exhibition tool, and certainly added a new and innovative element of our exhibition.
